Meh, I don't hate her really. In fact, I give her props for using Reggie Bush in her "Like A Boy" video. He's just one fine piece of beauty.

what the hell is this about, did you see some video you disliked? lol.
It's not her fault, it's so bad now that in like every interview she has to tell reporters that although she feels honored by the comparisons, she wants to be her own. And besides, Ciara is newly 21, she will be Aaliyah's age at her time of passing in a year. Yet Aaliyah just had this sense of age and responsibility about her, her career was much more ahead of Ciara's, I mean common, she dropped her new album at 15, so she recorded it at 14. Aaliyah had 8+ years of professional experience behind her. Did you see her latest video Gena? It's one thing to be influenced by another artist - another to totally rip off someone else's style and claim it as your own.
I'm totally unware of anything regarding Ciara, like interveiws and that. If she wants to stop people comparing her to Aaliyah, then she should stop trying to be her, and find her own identity. |

at the same time, we need to face the fact that Aaliyah's not coming back and we can't control what other people do to try to emulate her. It's wasted anger  and I'm tired of being angry at people like Ashanti or whoever just because they're trying to sell records based on what they know sells. |

I find it strange when people say they're 'fans' of people who are clearly just market-driven, watered-down ideas of what a record company thinks people want. that I agree with, I think she still hasn't fully established or realized, "who she is" yet, I mean she is still pretty young. That's actually why I've always like Ludacris since he first came out, because even though is was a new artist, he did not act like it at all, he always carried himself in his own unique way, his own style of writing and dictation with his raps and just his own man, so I always appreciated him for that.
Dang you guys are making me use up all my lunch time and I haven't even done what I was trying to do yet, lol. Besides eat anyway, that's the most important one. |

November 22nd, he is such a cutie but such a handful. He's at that stage where when he can't get his way he screams like a girl - a soprano pitch at that. And makes his body go limp and lays on the floor. Such a "fun" stage.
We went to the SF zoo for his b-day. I had no idea that gorillas smell like really bad BO, like funky people that you can smell from ... 30 ft away, now that is some funk for yo stash. |
